Walter Haupt, III, known to loved ones as Haupty, 41, of Melrose St., Marion Heights, passed away December 22nd, surrounded by family at his residence, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fountain Springs, October 29, 1977, at the former Ashland State General Hospital, he is the son of Catherine Gross Haupt, Atlas, and the late Walter Haupt Jr. He attended Northumberland County Vocational Technical School, and was formerly employed as a carpenter and pipe-liner for many years, and lastly as Assistant Manager for the Auto Zone, Coal Township. He attended the Mountain Side Assembly of God Church, Coal Township. Wally was an avid fisherman and camper.
Preceding him in death was a sister Tammie Lynn Haupt, passing in
April 2010.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Saturday, December 29th, at 11 AM, in the Mountain Side Assembly of God Church, 1900 Trevorton Road, Coal Township. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Michael Goodling, pastor. A calling time will begin at 10 AM until service.
