Virginia L. Schnee, 85, former Ashland resident, passed away April 20th, at the Mt. Carmel Nursing Center. Born in North Adams, Massachusetts, July 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Lois M. Bonser Whritenour. She was a graduate of the Paterson High School, Paterson, New Jersey, and was of the Jehovah Witness faith. She was employed 18 years as a sales clerk for the Pioneer Tunnel Tourist Attraction, Ashland, until her retirement. Ginny and her former husband Paul, worked tirelessly every Thursday night at the Higherups Park Ashland Bingo, raising monies for park expenses.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Paul, passing in 2009, and deceased brothers, Douglas, Kenneth, and Owen Whritenour.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial funeral service, Saturday, April 28th, at 11 AM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Dana Heckman Beil, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Ashland. Visitation will begin at 10 Am until service. Burial will be in the Brock Cemetery, Ashland.
