Timothy A. Varndell, 69, of High Road, Shamokin, passed away November 29th surrounded by his family, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Sunbury, August 13, 1947, he was the son of the late Herman C. and Marian C. Long Varndell. He was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School, class of 1965. Following high school, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam as a special operations helicopter gunner, attaining the rank of Corporal.
He was a member of The Church of the Nazarene, Lavelle, and the Sunbury Lodge #22, Free and Accepted Masons.
Tim was self-employed truck driver for 35 years, operating Varndell Trucking Co.
Preceding him in death was a brother Chris.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Wednesday, Dec. 7th, at 7 PM, in The Church of the Nazarene, 2879 Fairgrounds Road, Lavelle. Officiating will be Rev. Jeremy Smallwood, pastor. Visitation will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by the Ashland Lodge #294, F. and A.M. conducting a masonic funeral service at 6:30PM. The family requests memorials be made to The Church of the Nazarene, 2879 Fairgrounds Road, Lavelle, PA 17943.
