Thomas Bixler Obituary

Thomas A. Bixler, 58, of W. Arch St., Coal Township, passed away June 21st,   at his residence.  Born at the former Shamokin State Hospital, Coal Township, August 19, 1960, He was the son of the late Chester and Eleanor Kellerman Bixler.  Tom attended the Shamokin High School and was employed for the past thirty five years as a coal miner, lastly as mine foreman for the West Point Mining Company, Harmony Mine, Mt. Carmel, until its closing.

Preceding him in death were sisters, Barb Lesher, Janet Heslop, and a son, Brandon Menne.

Daughter: Skyler Hoffman, Shamokin

Sister:  Cindy wife of Ken Shurock, Hanover

Sister:  Sandy Olszewski, Coal Township

Brother:  Richard Bixler and his wife Kim, Pine Grove

Brother:  Raymond and his wife Stephanie, Philadelphia

Brother:  Ken Bixler and his wife Deb, Coal Township

Brother:  Ron Bixler and his wife Kathy, Shamokin

Brother:  Jim Bixler and his wife Tracey, Irish Valley

Brother:  David Bixler, Coal Township

Grandchildren:  Haley, Katlyn, Alyvia, Bobby, Ethyn Erb, and Izik, Thor, Hayz, Odin, Halo, Wess Bixler, and Allison, Leah, Robbie Knoeppel, Seth and Ryan Crable, and Jace, Brooklynne and Jimmy Menne, and Eddie, Dean, Brandon Hoffman

Funeral services will be held at the Odd Fellow Cemetery in Shamokin 12 noon August 3, 2019.
