Sierra Marie Tomes

Sierra Marie Tomes (Cece), 21, of Market St., Ashland, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.  Born in Pottsville, September 15, 2000, she is the daughter of Sheila Case of Ashland, and Brian Tomes, of Coaldale.  She was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, Fountain Springs, class of 2019, where she was a member of the color guard and a member of the TRIO Upward Bound Program. Sierra earned a certification as a C.N.A. from the Schuylkill County Vocational Technical School, Frackville.  She was employed as a home health aide and caregiver with Tru Care Home Health.  Preceding her in death was a Step Grandmother, Anne Schaffer, Paternal Grand Parents, Joseph and Donna Storey and a Great Grandfather Edward Fotta, Great Grandmother Hilda Case.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 3 PM, in The Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St, Ashland.  Officiating will be Rev. Dana Heckman Beil, pastor of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland.  Visitation in the funeral home will begin at 1 PM until service.  Memorials may be made to Mrs. Dorothy Rentschler 103 East Main Street, P.O.
