Ricky L. Bloch Sr

Ricky L. Bloch Sr., 56, of Hill Road, Hegins, passed away Friday, January 1st 2016 surrounded by his family, at his residence. Born in Fountain Springs, at the former Ashland State General Hospital, July 22, 1959, he was the son of the late Harold and Alma Koch Bloch. He was a graduate of Tri Valley High School, class of 1977, and was employed as a coal miner throughout his life, working for the former Porter Tunnel Coal Company, Tower City, and lastly for the Blaschak Coal Company of Mahanoy City. Ricky was a member of the Weishample Church of God, Weishample. Preceding him in death was a son, Ricky Bloch, Jr., passing in March 1, 2012, a grandson, Collin Bloch, in February 18, 2011, and a brother Ronald Bloch. Survivors: Wife: Joanne Geist Bloch, married 37 years Daughter: Melody Bloch, Hegins Daughter: Michelle Bloch and her companion John Bowers, Branchdale Sister: Janice wife of Bruce Neumeister, Hegins Granddaughters: Samara Bloch and Paige Wolfe Grandsons: Matthew and Eli Wolfe Nieces and Nephews Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial funeral service, Jan. 9th, 3 PM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Nelson Reppert. Visitation will begin at 2 PM until service. Visit fritzfuneralhome.com. The Richard W.
