Rickie Hummel, 66, of Helfenstein, passed away, Thursday evening, with family by his side, at his residence. Born in the former Ashland State General Hospital, Fountain Springs, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Marilyn Maurer Hummel. He was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, class of 1977. Rickie was active in football and wrestling, wining 76 times in 76 wrestling matches. He was employed 35 years as a butcher for Hazel Park Meats, Hazleton, and later as a forklift operator for Buchheit Logistics, Hometown, until his retirement. Rickie loved the outdoors, he was an avid lover of hunting, fishing, camping and target shooting.
