Nelson R. Tiley, 90, of Market St., Ashland, passed away Monday, August 22nd at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Born in Ashland on August 10 1926, he was the son of the late Irvin and Anna Lane Tiley Sr. He attended the former Ashland High School, and was employed as a Coal Inspector for the Reading Coal Company until his retirement. Nelson was a member of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, and a life member of the Washington Fire Company, both of Ashland.
He was very good to his neighbors, always giving a helping hand when needed, and was well known for his baking and carpentry skills.
Preceding him in death were brothers, Roy, Wilbur, Albert ‘Preach’, Milen ‘Biff’, and Irvin Tiley, Jr., also a sister Suzanna Gredzinski.

Eleven Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service, Saturday, August 27th, at 1 PM, in the Brock Cemetery, Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. David W.
