Michael J. Zaharick

Michael J. Zaharick, 64, of Beaver Dam Road, Ashland, passed away unexpectantly Tuesday morning, January 26, at his residence. Born in Fountain Springs, October 4, 1951, he is the son of Irene Felegy Zaharick, Girardville, and the late John Zaharick. He was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, class of 1970, and was employed as a foreman for highway construction projects, lastly for Kinsley Construction Company of York, until his retirement. Mike was a member St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church, Maizeville. His hobbies were gardening, raising chickens, and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Carmel Brother: Steven Zaharick and his wife Tara, Gordon Brother: Martin Zaharick and his wife Joanne, Freemansburg Sister: Gail wife of Angelo Gillano, Massillon, Ohio Sister: Mary McAloose, McAdoo Sister: Jane wife of Jeff Dornan, Queensland, Australia Sister: Anne Zaharick, Girardville Sister: Janet Nelson, Quincey, Mass Grandchildren: David, Caroline, Evan, and Aidan Zaharick Nieces and nephews Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial funeral service, February 6th, at 11 AM, in Christ’s United Lutheran Church, 437 Airport Road, Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Kim L. Lengert, pastor. Calling hours will begin at 9 AM until service.
