Michael A. Maurer

Michael A. Maurer, 37, of East Mahanoy Ave., Girardville, passed away Sunday, surrounded by family, at his residence.  Born in Fountain Springs, he is the son of Mary Maurer Cress, Girardville, and the late James J. Cress.  He was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, class of 1998, and was employed as a lead manager for the Canteen Distribution Center, Frackville.  Michael was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Girardville.

Preceding him in death were sisters, Mary Elizabeth Cress, and Katherine Claire Brozno, also grandfathers Leonard F. Maurer and Joseph Cress Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial prayer service, Wednesday, April 18th, at 7 PM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland.  Officiating will be Rev.
