Maryann T. Dembinsky, 74, of Mt. Carmel, passed away Thursday evening, April 21st 2016, at the Mt. Carmel Nursing Center. Born in Ashland on October 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Hrutki Prencavage. Maryann attended Jersey City Schools, and was later employed 40 years for several banks. She retired from the Susquehanna Bank, Mt. Carmel, after 27 years of employment. Maryann loved children. After her bank retirement, she was employed at Knoebel’s Amusement Resort, Elysburg, as a clerk in the Cookie Nook where she was like a grandmother to the college students who worked there part time. Maryann was a volunteer at the St. Catherine’s Medical Center, formerly the Ashland State General Hospital, Fountain Springs.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Carmel, and the Red Hat Society of Mt. Carmel.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert L. Dembinsky, passing in April 2012.

Nephew: Michael Prencavage and his wife Vicky, Cypress, CA
Niece: Debra wife of Ray Constable, Quakertown, PA

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial funeral service, May 9th, at
1 PM in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Frank Karwacki, pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Carmel. Visitation with family will begin at 12 Noon until service. Interment will be private and at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
