Mae E. Loftus

Mae E. Loftus, 84, former Ashland resident, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Mt. Carmel Assisted Living Center, Mt. Carmel. Born in Ashland, August 17, 1940, she was the daughter of Lester and Madeline Schuler Jones.  Mae graduated from the former Ashland High School, class of 1958, and was employed as a trimmer for the former Ashland Shirt Company until her retirement.  She was a member of the former Saint Mauritius Roman Catholic Church, now the Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish, Ashland, and an active member of the American Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary, V.F. W. Post 7654 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Good Fellowship Club, all of Ashland.  Preceding her in death was her husband, Gerard Loftus, passing March 11, 1992; a daughter Eileen Schlegel, passing July 17, 2021; Brothers: Robert Jones, and Joseph Jones.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Mae’s Life Funeral Service, October 2, 2024, at 12 Noon, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home.  Officiating will be Rev.
