Louise M. “Pat” Overkott, 85, of Beury’s Road, Ashland, passed away Friday morning, December 25, 2020, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill, East Norwegian, Street, Pottsville. Born in Butler Township, February 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Scheuren and Wilma E. Scheuren Hurley. She attended Butler Township Elementary Schools, and was a graduate of the former Ashland High School. Following high school, she graduated from the Schuylkill South Vocational School, in Marlin, as an L.P.N., and was employed at the former Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic as an L.P.N. and E.K.G. Technician until her retirement in 2000. Pat was an active Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader, the Civil Air Patrol, Band Parent Leader and Past President of the North Schuylkill High School Band Parents. She was a lifetime member of the Ashland Area Senior Citizens and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post #7654, and the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland.
Pat was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, time with her family, and activities with her children and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 59 years, Robert L. Overkott, a daughter Claire E. Krapf, a grandson Bruce Overstreet, and a great grandson Grayden Flickinger.

A private funeral service with family members will be held with the Rev. Dana Heckman Beil, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Ashland, officiating.
