Linda L. Shriner

Linda L. Shriner, 91, of Lavelle, passed away with her family by her side, May 1, 2022, at her home.  Born in Germany, April 4, 1931, she was the daughter of Otto and Marie Sunkel.  She attended high school in Germany and upon marring her husband, an American soldier, William in Germany, she and Bill came to the United States, owning and operating the Village Inn Tavern, and also the Shriner Insurance Agency, in Lavelle until their retirement.  Preceding her in death was her husband, William H. Shriner, passing August 10, 1991, also sons William Shriner Jr., Terry Shriner, and Donald Shriner.  Linda was of the Catholic Faith.

Seven Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren, holding a special place in her heart were great grandchildren Kylie and Hailey Sisko.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life funeral service, Thursday, May 5, 2021, at 12 Noon, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St. Ashland.  Officiating will be Rev. Jeremy Smallwood, pastor of the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene. A viewing will begin at 11 AM until service time.
