Katie Quick

Katie “Tosh” Quick, 88, former Fountain Springs resident, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Mt. Carmel Nursing Center, Mt. Carmel.  Born in Pottsville, September 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Anna Szebra Butsko.  She attended the former Cass Township High School, and was employed as a Presser for the Ashland Shirt Factory, Ashland, until her retirement.  Katie was a member of the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene, Lavelle, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ashland V.F.W. Post #7654. Preceding her in death was her husband, Clair P. Quick, passing in 2012, a grandson, Lawrence M. Latsko, passing in 2021, Sisters, Mary Butsko, Fanny Kimmel, and Brothers, John, Andrew, Peter, Paul, Metro, and Stephen Butsko.

Daughter:  Cheryl wife of Lawrence Latsko Sr., Elysburg

Son:  Clair Quick Jr., Fountain Springs

Brother:  Frank Butsko and his wife Sue, San Clementi, CA

Brother:  Harry and his wife Joy, Duncannon

Granddaughter:  Rachele wife of Robert Neidig, Mt. Carmel

Grandson:  Clair J. Quick and his wife Amy, Tamaqua

Great Grandson:  David M. Slotterback Jr. and his wife Andrea, Girardville

Great Grandson:  Nathan Slotterback, Mt. Carmel

Great Great Granddaughters:  Oliva Quick and Mackenzie Slotterback

Nieces and Nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 11 AM, in the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene.  Officiating will be Rev. Jeremy Smallwod, pastor.  A viewing will begin in the church at 10 AM until service.  Interment will be in the Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs.  Memorials may be made to the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene, 2879 Fairgrounds Road, Lavelle, PA  17943.  Visit www.Fritzfuneralhome.com.
