Obituary

June Faye Maurer Scavone, 95, of Long Branch N. J., a Girardville native, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 in New Jersey.  Born in Girardville, May 31, 1927, to the late Howard and Jennie Welker Maurer.  She worked as a law office administrator for two law firms until her retirement.  June attended the First United Methodist Church in Westfield New Jersey, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Crane’s Ford Chapter in Cranford New Jersey.   Preceding her in death was a brother Warren Maurer and a sister Ida Cole.

Survivors

Son:  Gregory Scavone and his wife Peggy, Lon Branch N.J.

Son:  Michael Scavone and his wife Deborah, Virginia

Sister in Law:  Dorothy Maurer

Four Grandchildren, a great granddaughter, nieces and nephews

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a grave side funeral service, Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10:30 AM, in the Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs.  Officiating will be Rev. Jack Murry, pastor of the St. Clair Wade Methodist Church, St. Clair.  The Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
