Julia Trommetter Obituary

Julia Trommetter, 95, former Gordon resident, passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Mt. Carmel Senior Living Community.  Born in Wayne Township August 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Natalie Zulick Yakimo.  She was a graduate of the former Cressona High School, class of 1939, and enjoyed her long tenure working with children as a Teacher’s Aide for the North Schuylkill School District until her retirement.  Julia was a member of the Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.   In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, who passed away in 1990, as well as brothers Alex, Charles, Joseph, Michael, and Peter Yakimo, and sisters Anna Colna, Helen Marx, and Mary Zerbe.

Daughter:  Mary Sacavage, and husband Charles, South Carolina

Son:  James Trommetter, Coopersburg

Sister:  Rosalie Putt, Wernersville

Funeral services will be held on Friday May 26, 11A.M. at the Simpson United Methodist Church, with Rev. Tim Christman, pastor.  A visitation will be held from 10 A.M. until time of service.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Simpson United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 119 Biddle Street Gordon PA 17936. 

Interment will follow at the Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
