Joyce E. Robbins

Joyce E. Robbins, of Milford, DE, formerly of Reading, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Life Care at Lofland Park, Seaford, DE, she was 90 years old.  She was born in Gordon, PA to the late, John F. and Dorothy Lewis. Mrs. Robbins worked as a seamstress and loved to sew.  She always had lovely clothes that she wore that she had sewn herself.  Although she had no children of her own, she had a dog named Scooter who was like a child to her.  Along with her late husband, William, they enjoyed traveling and taking cruises.  She was a great ballroom dancer and received many trophies and awards throughout the years.  While living in Reading, PA, she belonged to a swim club and swam every summer.  She also attended the Peace Lutheran Church in Reading, PA when she lived in Pennsylvania.  Mrs. Robbins was a great cook, and would put together great picnics in her backyard for family and friends, and her home was always neat and tidy.  Other favorite hobbies included collecting statuettes, and playing the organ. Mrs. Robbins loving and easy going personality will forever be missed.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Robbins, and her sister,  Carol Oestreich. She is survived by her two nieces, Karen Kenton and Carol Radzunas.  A graveside service with interment will take place at the Christ Church Cemetery in Ashland, PA, on Thursday, November 16 at 12 PM
