John Wilks, 91, of Wilburton, PA, former Denville N.J. resident, passed away November 16th, at his residence in Wilburton. Born in Nutley N.J., he was the son of the late Valentine and Ella Ryan Wilkes. He attended Nutley High School, and served with the New Jersey National Guard. John was employed as a supply and distribution manager for the Morris Hills Regional High School. Active in the community, he was a scout master for Boy Scout Troup # 17 for 8 years, and a volunteer E.M.T. with the Mt. Hope Fire Company #2 in Rockaway. He was a member of the Fox Hills Men’s Club participating in the State Senior Olympics, winning gold and silver medals. Preceding him in death was his wife, Marylou Lindsay Wilks.
