John Matejick

John Matejick, 87, of Sport Lane, Locust Gap, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Mountain View Nursing Center, Coal Township.  Born at Shenandoah Heights, February 4, 1935, he was the son of John and Dorothy Griffiths Matejick.  He was a graduate of the former Ashland High School, class of 1953.  John had been employed for Green’s Dairy, Ashland, also a self-employed truck owner operator, and later retired from Honeywell Corporation, Marlin, where he was a machine operator. He was a member of the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene, Lavelle. Preceding him in death were brothers Glen and Ronald Matejick.

Son:  John Matejick and his wife Carol, Marion Heights

Sister:  Michelle wife of Kevin Jacobs, Ashland

Grandchildren:  Laura wife of Allen Lenton, Douglas Schrader and his wife Essie, Kaitlyn Schrader, Erin wife of Peter Carroll, and Brittany Schlorff

Great Grandchildren:  Owen and Miles Lenton, Kailyn and Riley Carroll

Nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life funeral service, Friday, August 19, 2022, at 11 AM, in the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene, 2879 Fairgrounds Road, Lavelle.  Officiating will be Rev.
