John L. Krapf Jr., 85, of E. Fourth St., Mt. Carmel, passed away Thursday, February 4th 2015 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Lavelle, September 10, 1930, he was the son of the late John and Celeste Testi Krapf Sr. He was a graduate of the former Butler Township High School, Fountain Springs, class of 1948. John was a veteran of the Korean conflict, having served in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Corporal. He received the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Bronze State Medal, Combat Infantry and Parachutist Badges. He was of the catholic faith, and was self- employed as an automobile machinist in Levittown, until his retirement. Preceding him in death was a sister, Jacqueline Haas, and a brother Leo Krapf. Survivors: Son: Joseph Krapf and his wife Ann Marie, Fairless Hills, PA Son: Lawrence Krapf and his wife Kim, Edgewater, Florida Son: John Krapf and his wife Renee, Levittown Daughter: Laurie Ann wife of Paul Howard, Levittown Step Daughter: Kathy wife John O’Keefe, Levittown Step Daughter: Susan wife of Frank Messenger, Levittown Brother: Leonard Krapf and his wife Roberta, Temple Brother: Daniel Krapf and his wife Peggy, Newton Former wife: Rose Krapf, Levittown Seven Grandsons, Two Great Grandsons, Nieces and Nephews Relatives and friends are invited to attend a military memorial funeral service, February 12th, at 3 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
