Joan C. Pautienus passed away peacefully at Johnston Willis Hospital, Richmond, Virginia on July 22, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late William D. Pautienus, who is survived by his loving children William (wife, Stacey) Pautienus and Susan Pautienus. She is survived by her loving children Cynthia Halupa, JoAnne Rodgers, and Debra Sewinsky; her cherished grandchildren Gregory Halupa, Misty Sewinsky, Courtney Briel, Heather Rodgers, Joseph Rodgers, and Randy Ratliff; and her dearest great grandchildren, Scarlett Tidwell and Mya Sewinsky. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel (Dowling) Sewinsky. She is also survived by her siblings, Rose Bloschichak, James (wife, Carol) Sewinsky, Joseph (wife, Linda) Sevinsky, Maryellen (husband, Robert) Sevinsky Andruzzi, P eter Sevinsky, Michael Sevinsky, Patricia Sevinsky Wilinsky, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her siblings, Thomas G. Sewinsky, John (Jack) Sewinsky, Ruth Sewinsky Lindenmuth, Steven Sevinsky, and Margaret Sevinsky Gutekunst. She grew up and lived most of her life in Gilberton, Pennsylvania until recently where she resided in Midlothian, Virginia with her daughter Cynthia and her partner, David McNeely. Joan was a very unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her & had a warming smile that hugged your heart in an everlasting way. She was an active and caring person who admired her great grandchildren with a passion. She enjoyed listening to music (especially Elvis), dancing, baking for her family, and catching up with the new generation on Facebook. Many would remember Joan for her "firecracker" ways, she always knew how to put someone in their place. She was a very strong and inspiring individual who greatly praised God for all the blessings he's given her throughout life. Heaven gained such a beautiful angel with an inspiring soul. Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean I'll miss you, until we meet again. ♥Prior to the cemetery service, friends are invited to visit with Joan’s family at the Richard W.
