Obituary

James T. Trautman, 78, of Fountain Springs, passed away Wednesday, April 21st at his residence.  Born in Locust Gap, April 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Mark and Annette (Sis) George Trautman I.  He was a graduate of the former Butler Township High School, class of 1961, and was employed for 37 years as a heavy equipment operator and tool room attendant for the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company.  Jim was a life time member of the Christ Congregational Church, and the American Fire Company #1, both in Fountain Springs.  As an active member of the fire company, Jim helped with the weekly Bingo. He loved woodworking in his home shop, and was an avid Phillies Baseball and Eagles Football fan.  He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Frank, and a brother, Richard S. Trautman Sr., passing in 2013. Survivors;

Wife:  Verna Yoder Trautman, married 37 years

Son:  James Trautman II and his wife Jan, Hummelstown

Daughter:  Diane wife of Todd Smith, Gordon

Daughter:  Denise Trautman - Walton, Ashland

Step Son:  Greg Sommers, and his wife Sue, Goshen, Indiana

Step Daughter:  Cindy wife of George Huss III, Shenandoah

Sister:  Marilyn Spieles, Fountain Springs

Sister:  Judith Wright, California

Sister:  Suzanne wife of Christian Wurst Jr., Fountain Springs

Sister:  Linda wife of Charles (Butch) Harris, Fountain Springs

Sister:  Lauren Trautman, Milton

Sister:  Sheryl Trautman, Ashland

Sister:  Annette wife of Joseph Wassell, Alabama

Brother:  Mark Trautman and his wife Kathy, Fountain Springs

Brother:  David Trautman and his wife Annette, Harrisburg

11 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews

Diane Davis, mother of James, Diane, and Denise.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service, Saturday, May 1st, at 11:30 AM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland.  Officiating will be Mr. John Kessler.  Visitation with family will begin at 9 AM until service.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ Congregational Church, 134 Broad St., Ashland, PA., 17921, or the American Fire Company, 2 Fountain St., Ashland, PA  17921.  Visit www.Fritzfuneralhome.com.  The Richard W.
