James A. Neumeister, 92, of Fountain Springs, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, Lebanon. Born in Gordon, September 25, 1929, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Doris White Neumeister. He attended the former Butler Township High School, Fountain Springs, and was a self-employed coal miner and truck driver, owning the James Neumeister Coal Company until his retirement. Jim served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer for six years, in Germany and in Korea during the Korean Conflict. Preceding him in death was his wife Mary Metzinger Neumeister, passing in September 1992, a son John, a daughter Susan Hart, grandsons Gary Haupt and James Zimmerman, also sisters, Arlene Wisnoski, Marian Bird, and Helen Neumeister.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service with military honors, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 2 PM, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Officiating will be Rev.
