Harold I. Wink, 95, of Main St., Lavelle, passed away Wednesday, June 7th. Born in East Brunswick Township, May 27, 1922, he was the son of the late Irwin and Jennie Pauley Wink. He attended the former Sunday Elementary School of Greenwich Township, and later the Chicago Trade School, learning carpentry.


Harold was employed as a truck driver for Wolf Dye and Bleach, Shoemakersville, and later for Wright’s Knitting Mill, Hamburg, until his retirement.


He was a member of Christ’s United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland, the Hamburg Moose, and was a life member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company #1.


Preceding him in death was his wife, Martha Bodman Wink, passing November 30, 2005, brothers, Lester and Robert Wink, sister, Mildred Wink, a daughter, Carol Brennan, and a grandson, Paul Rickard, in January 1988.

Son: Robert Fertig, Delano


Son: William Fertig and his wife Kay, Middleburg, Florida


Sister: Betty wife of Charles Lesher, Denver


Brother: Carl Wink and his wife Barbara, Fleetwood
