H. Eleanor Fetterman, 83, of Fountain Street, Ashland, passed away Saturday, April 2nd 2016 at the St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading. Born in Frackville on December 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Shaboski Kurchock. Eleanor was a graduate of the former Frackville High School, class of 1950. She was a member of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, Ashland. She was married to William “Fetz” Fetterman, who preceded her in death August 19, 2003. Eleanor was a seamstress, handling clothing alterations from her home for many years. She was the Financial Secretary of American Fire Co. #1, Fountain Springs, the Treasurer of Butler Township Fireman’s Relief Association, and an active member of both Ashland and Girardville Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters Kathryn Wonderlick, Mary Rady, and brothers Michael, Peter, John, and Paul Kurchock.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday April 7th at 11 A.M. from the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St. Ashland. Officiating will be the Rev David W. Grant, pastor of the Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, Ashland. A visitation will be held Wednesday April 6, from 6-8 P.M. and Thursday April 7, from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at Indiantown National Gap Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ashland Black Diamond Football League, C/O Shannon Correll, 1414 Spruce St, Ashland, PA 17921.
