Grant H. Kramer Sr., former Ashland resident, passed away Wednesday, December 21st, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born in Barry Township, January 21, 1926, he was the son of the late Howard and Catherine Stine Kramer. He attended Hegins Township Schools and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Grant worked as an independent coal miner with his brothers, and later as a supervisor in the missile manufacturing department of the General Dynamics Corporation in San Diego California until his retirement.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Betty Fennessy Kramer in February of 2006, brothers; Arden, Edward, Allen, Charles, and Leroy Kramer, also sisters; Sylvia Shoemaker Adelle Kramer, Lois Welker, and Janet Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial funeral service Friday, December 30th, at 11 AM in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Dana Heckman Beil, pastor of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Ashland. Visitation with family will begin at 10 AM until service.
