Grace H. Nemeth, 84, of Gordon, passed away early morning Tuesday December 22, 2015, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born at home in Gordon on August 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Fred (Fritz) and Clara Snyder Fetterolf.
Grace was the first female drummer in the Ashland High School Band, graduating in 1949. She was the drummer in Two Kings and a Queen, Nick Hubb’s Polka Band, and other musical groups in Schuylkill County.
Everyone knew Grace as she worked many years as a bookkeeper and manager at Rickard’s Dairy in Gordon. She was well known as the best ice cream dipper.
Grace was a lifetime member of the Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon, where she participated in the choir, and was the church sexton. She was also a member of the Gordon Senior Citizens, Schuylkill County Musician’s Union, and the Coal Cracker’s Polka Association.
She was a devoted Grandmother to her four grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by a daughter Kathryn, 1957, husband Nicholas Nemeth, 1963, son John D. Nemeth, 2013, and brother Fred Fetterolf, Ralph Smith, Paul Smith, Sisters Fern Kaercher, Evelyn Irwin, and Hazel Moser.

Son: Nicholas S. Nemeth, and fiancé Ruth Miller, Gordon
Grandchildren: Jeff Nemeth, Nathan Ressler, Sarah Ressler and Katie Ressler

Nieces and Nephews
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at 11 A.M. at Simpson United Methodist Church, 119 E. Biddle Street, Gordon, with Rev. Tim Christman officiating. Visitation will be held from 10A.M. until time of service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Simpson United Methodist Church, 119 E. Biddle Street, Gordon, PA 17936.
