Franklin E. Hauze, 65, of Main Street, Ringtown passed away at his home late Monday night April 25, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born November 12, 1950 at the former Locust Mountain State Hospital, Shenandoah, he was the son of the late Ruth M. Harvey Fields and Robert Hauze. Frank attended Shenandoah Valley Schools, and served in the U.S. Army, with Company C, 124th signal battalion of the 4th infantry division in Vietnam. He was a switchboard operator and marksman, specializing in M14 and M16 rifles. He was of the Lutheran faith. On October 21, 1972 he married the former Diane Koncsler at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Frackville. He was employed as a foreman with the Frackville borough, and later worked for the Ringtown Wilbert Vault Company until his retirement. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were brothers Robert, David, and Joseph Hauze.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service at the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St. Ashland, at 2 P.M. on Friday April 29, with the Rev. David Borton officiating. A visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be held Monday May 2 at 2 P.M. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
