Florence Lubold

Florence Hornberger Lubold, former Gordon resident, passed away May 4, 2022 in Allentown.  Born in the former Ashland State General Hospital, Fountain Springs, she was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Bernice Deer Hornberger.  She was a graduate of the Tri Valley High School, Valley View, and was employed as a fashion consultant at the former Fashion Bug store in the Schuylkill Mall, until her retirement.  Florence attended the Church of Christ in Christian Union, Barry Township.  Preceding her in death was her husband Earl Lubold Sr., passing January 1997, and a sister Sarah Fortna.

Son:  Earl Lubold Jr., and his wife Lynn, Hazleton

Sister:  Phyllis wife of Jeffery Reidel, St. Clair

Sister:  Roseanne wife of Michael Thomas, Selinsgrove

Sister:  April wife of Robert Waizenegger, Gordon

Brother:  William Hornberger and his wife Patty, Gordon

Brother:  Jonathan Hornberger and his wife Linda, Gordon

Grandchildren:  Chalino and Adriana Zamudio

Great Granddaughter: Charli Serrano

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life funeral service, Monday, May 16, 2022, at 6 PM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland.  Officiating will be Pastor Susan Hocking of the Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon.
