Dorothy Tiley Obituary

Dorothy J. Tiley, 91, of Ashland, passed away Thursday evening, April 22 nd, at her residence.  Born in Locust Dale, February 13, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lottie Kiem Schaffer Keller.  She attended the former Conyingham Township High School in Aristes, and was a member of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, Ashland.  Dorothy loved spending time with her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren.  It was a joy just being around her. 

Preceding her in death was her husband, Nelson, passing in August 22, 2016, her brothers, Mark Schaeffer, George Schaeffer, Donald Keller; her sisters, Jean Gross, Ellen Diefenderfer, Elva Newcomer, Fern Klock, and Marian Price; and a son in law, Charles Rumbel

Son:  Robert Tiley and his wife Michelle, Lavelle

Son:  Richard Tiley, Ashland

Daughter:  Dorothy wife of Thomas Steppe, Williamsport

Daughter:  Nancy wife of Melvin Hornberger, Friedensburg

Daughter:  Sandra Rumbel, Hatboro

Daughter:  Catherine wife of Timothy O’Donnell, Lavelle

Eleven Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service, Saturday, May 8th, at 11 AM, in the Brock Cemetery, Ashland.  Officiating will be Rev. Dean Luther, pastor of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, Ashland.  Memorials may be made to Washington Fire Company Community Ambulance Association, 1309 Centre St., Ashland, PA  17921.Visit www.Fritzfunealhome.com.  The Richard W.
