Donald Rich Obituary

Donald J. Rich, 85, former Ashland resident, passed away Saturday, October 17th, at Mountain View Manor Nursing Home, Coal Township. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, August 11, 1935, he was the son of the late Arthur and Henritta Smidtrott Rich. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a Truck Driver, attaining the rank of Specialist 4. Don was employed as a bus and truck driver during his lifetime. He was a member of the Pattersonville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the Ashland V.F.W. Post #7654.

Survivors

Wife: Eleanor Maglione, married 63 years

Daughter: Janice wife of Melvin Collongues, Shamokin

Daughter: Cathy Evans, Aberdeen Maryland

Son: Kevin Rich and his wife Lisa, Rural Hall N.C.

Six Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren

Private interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
