Delmar Bixler Obituary

Delmar D. Bixler, 74, of McKnight St., Gordon, passed away December 5th at the Broad Mountain Nursing Center, Frackville.  Born in Hegins Township, September 19, 1943, he was the son of the late Harry and Eva Bixler.   He attended Tri Valley High School, and was employed as a stone mason and brick layer for Ryder Construction Company of Reading, until his retirement.  Delmar was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Ashland, and the Laborers Union Local #1174, Reading. Preceding him in death was his wife, Susan passing in February 2015, and a daughter Sandra, passing in August 2004, also, sisters Betty Hoffman, Bernice Bixler, Joyce Clark, and brothers, Kenneth “Bud” Bixler, Lyle “Sonny” Bixler, Larry Bixler, and Harry Bixler Jr. Survivors: Son:  Lamar Bixler, Shamokin Sister: Anna Kroh, Valley View Nieces and Nephews Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service, December 16th, at 10 AM, in St. Andrews Cemetery, Valley View.  Officiating will be pastors Rev.
