Deborah Ann Hartz, 61, of Main St. Locustdale, passed away at home on Wednesday August 10, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 18, 1954 at the former Ashland State General Hospital, Fountain Springs, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Louise Schoffler Guinther. Debbie graduated from the North Schuylkill High School, Class of 1972. She married David Hartz On April 10, 1976 at the Grace Evangelical Independent Church of Locustdale, recently celebrating 40 years of marriage. Debbie worked for the United States Post Office as a clerk for over 20 years, most recently assigned to the Pine Grove Office, until her retirement.
Debbie loved shopping and camping with her grandchildren. Dave and Debbie held season tickets at the Pocono Raceway for 10 years, proudly cheering on Dale Earnhardt, Sr. She was a member of the Grace Evangelical Independent Church, Locustdale; the Locustdale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; the Good Fellowship Club, Ashland; and a past financial secretary of the Conyngham Township Fireman’s Relief Association.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial funeral service from the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre Street Ashland on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 7PM with the Rev. Rose M. Marquardt, pastor of the Grace Evangelical Independent Church, Locustdale. A visitation will be held from 5pm until time of service at the funeral home.
