Obituary
David “Pappy” Cooke, 63, of Airport Road, Paxinos, passed away December 26, 2021, at his residence. Born in Sunbury, he is the son of the late Andrew and Florence Llewellyn Cooke. He attended Southern Columbia Area High School and was employed as a service technician for Miller’s Gas and Oil Services of Shamokin until his retirement. Pappy’s current “job” was being Alden and Ellie’s school taxi, which he took the greatest pride in. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents, was his sister Gloria Kerstetter.

Daughter: Erica wife of Jason Campbell, Elysburg
Daughter: Brandi Martin, Clarksville, TN
Daughter: Heather Cooke, Clarksville, TN
Grandchildren: Alden and Ellie Campbell, Codey Simons, and Paul and Jordyn Diehl
Nieces: Angela Bricker and Jennifer Michael
Nephew: Jeremy Krick
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service, January 6, 2021, at 6 PM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Jeremy Smallwood, pastor of the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene, Lavelle. Due to the pandemic and to keep everyone safe, there will be no receiving line prior to or after the service.
