Daryl A Troup

Daryl A. Troup, 68, of Kulpmont, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, surrounded by family, at his residence. Born at the former Ashland Hospital in Fountain Springs, August 6, 1954, he was the son of the late Leonard and Beatrice Deeter Troup.  He attended Tri Valley High School, and had been employed over 30 years as a heavy equipment operator for the Reading Anthracite Coal Company, and lastly for the Helfrick Coal Company of Mt. Carmel, until his retirement. Daryl was always fixing things, from four wheelers to automobiles and trucks.  He would lend a hand to anyone that he could help. Daryl was an avid NASCAR fan, collecting hundreds of car models that he painted by hand.  He will be missed by his family and friends. Daryl was of the Protestant faith.

Daughter:  Jennifer Troup, Middleburg

Brother:  Curtis Troup and his wife Patricia, Lavelle

Brother:  Rodney Troup, Wilkes Barre

Grand Children:  Rebekah and Jon Troup

Great Grand Son:  Kane Norris

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life funeral service, Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 11 AM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland.  Officiating will be Rev. Dennis Snyder, pastor of the Bethany Congregational Church, Ashland.  Visitation in the funeral home will begin at 9 AM until service.  Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Barry Township.  Visit www.Fritzfuneralhome.com.
