Colleen Maurer

Colleen Maurer, 66, former Ashland resident, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Ridgeview Nursing Center, Shenandoah Heights.  Born at the former Ashland State General Hospital, Fountain Springs, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Kathleen McDonald Brennan Sr.  She attended North Schuylkill High School, and had been employed as a cook and waitress for the former Breakfast Nook restaurant, and lastly as a Bartender for the Drunken Monkey Bar and Grille, both of Ashland.  Colleen was a member of the former Saint Mauritius Roman Catholic Church now the Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish, Ashland.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Maurer, passing January 30, 2008, a daughter Amy Maurer, in 1981, a son Kurt, in 2005, a sister Barbara, in 1998, a brother Gilbert Brennan Jr., in 2003, a brother Joseph Brennan, in 2013, a brother Thomas, in 1991, and a brother in law Leigh Grant, in 2007.

Nieces, Nephews, many friends, including staff and residents at Ridgeview Healthcare Center, Shenandoah Heights.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life funeral service, November 23, 2022, at 11 AM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland.  Officiating will be Mr. John Kessler.  Visitation will begin at 10 AM.  Interment will be in the New St. Mauritius Cemetery, Ashland, at a later date.  Visit ww.Fritzfuneralhome.com.  The Richard W.
