Charles "Preston" Duren Obituary
Charles P. “Preston” Duren Sr., 56, of Biddle Street Gordon, passed away early Monday morning, December 5, 2016. Born January 11, 1960 at the former Ashland State General Hospital, he was the son of the late Frank G. and Miriam F. Harter Duren. Preston was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School, Class of 1978. Following high school, he enrolled in the U.S. Army and was a Combat Engineer and an Interior Electrician, serving a total of 13 years. After his military service, he was employed by Universal Forest Products, Gordon, and most recently Hollander Home Fashions, Frackville. Preston was a member of the Citizen’s Fire Company #1, Gordon.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Life on Thursday December 8, 2016 from 7 to 8 P.M. at the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre Street, Ashland. Interment with military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
