Charles T. Bechtel, 35, of Brock St., Ashland, passed away Sunday, July 23nd in Columbia County. Born in Fountain Springs, May 2, 1982, he is the son of Mary Reed Bechtel, Ashland, and the late Thomas Bechtel. He was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, class of 2001, and had been employed for the Big Lots Distribution Center, Alcoa, and Harmony Coal Mine until its closing.
He was a devoted father staying a home to raise his son until his passing.
Charles was of the Catholic faith, and attended the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Ashland.
He was a member the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Girardville, and a social member of the Ashland V.F.W. Post #7654.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Prayer Service, Thursday, July 27th, at 11 AM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Rothermel, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, Ashland. Interment will follow in the New St. Mauritius Cemetery, Ashland. Visitation will begin at 10 AM until service.
