Catherine Hanley Obituary
Catherine B. Hanley, 92, of Ringtown Mountain Road., Catawissa, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 14th, at her residence with her daughter at her bed side. Born in Centralia, she was the daughter of the late Terrence and Mary Michaeli Smolke. She attended Centralia High School, and worked locally in the garment industry to help her parents. She later married the love of her life, Raymond Ellis Hanley.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Slabtown, Catawissa, and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Catherine, an avid lover of gardening and the outdoors, belonged to the Roaring Creek Garden Club. She also loved shopping.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond Ellis Hanley, passing in April 2002, an infant daughter Cathy, sisters Margarete Coddington and Mary Smith.

Daughter: Lenore Skocik, Numidia
Granddaughter: Kira Skocik, mother of Mina and Lawken, Frackville
Granddaughter: Shaina Skocik, mother of Ronnie, Fountain Springs

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, January 17th, at 11 AM, in Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Slabtown, Catawissa. Celebrant will be Rev. Dennis Dalessandro, pastor. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. A calling hour will begin at 10 AM until Mass. Visit www.Fritz Funeral Home.com. The Richard W.
