Betty Ann (DiCinque) Weikel, 76, of Woodland Heights, Ashland, passed away on December 20, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, into the arms of her Lord. Born in Atlas, Northumberland County, April 3, 1945, she was the daughter of Anthony and Mary Gaberial DiCinque.
Betty Ann was of the Catholic faith, a member of the former Saint Mauritius Roman Catholic Church of Ashland. She worked as a buttonholer at a ladies garment factory for many years, and later retired from the Broad Mountain Nursing Home as a dietary aide. Betty Ann lived for her family, especially her great grandchildren, Izabela Holloman, Mackenzie, Kaylie, and Kelsie Bartos, Jase and Emma Dengler, and Ares and Asher Clews.
She was the heart of the family, always ready with a pot of coffee, and a listening ear or a hot meal for the family to come down from the woods to warm up after a long day of hunting. Her door was always open to anyone that needed her. Awaiting her in heaven are her parents, a daughter Mary Jane Weikel and a son, Dale Weikel, a sister and brothers.
