Bertha E. Jones Obituary

Bertha E. Jones, 86, former Lavelle resident, passed away Monday, September 17th at the Mountain View Nursing Center, Coal Township. 


Born in Lavelle, September 2, 1932, she was the daughter if the late Herman and Lilian Pennypacker Reichwein.  She was a graduate of the former Ashland High School, class of 1950.  Bertha was a very caring and loving women, she cared for 27 infants as a foster mother.  She was a member of the former St. Mauritius Catholic Church, now St. Charles Barromeo Roman Catholic Church, Ashland.


Preceding her in death was her husband, Edward L. Jones, passing December 2009, brothers; Lawrence, Alvin, Fredrick, and Arthur Reichwein, also sisters, Jean Horan and Carolyn Howard.

Daughter:  Theresa wife of Michael Yakubik, Wilburton


Son:  Terrence Jones and his companion Patricia LaClair, Annville


Son:  Thomas Jones and his wife Susan, Fountain Springs


5 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild
