Bernie E McKown

Bernie E. McKown, 67, of Sunbury St., Shamokin, passed away Friday morning at his residence.  Born San Bernardino California, May 27, 1951, he was the son of the late Damon and Margaret Padgett McKown.  He was a graduate of Nogales High School, Noble Regiment, in California.  After high school, he served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam.  He was employed as a truck driver until his retirement, and was an avid motorcycle lover.

Surviving are sisters, Tabitha McKown of Shamokin, and Debra Mckown, of Blyth, California.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 2^nd, in the Grier City Union Sunday School, 202 Grier Avenue, Barnesville, PA, 18214. Rev. Sharon Stokes, pastor, will officiate.  Interment with military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in the future.
