Barbara Pennypacker, 66, of Mowry, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, at her home, Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Barbara fought a courageous 12 year battle with Liposarcoma cancer. Born at the former Ashland State General Hospital, Fountain Springs, January 2, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Darrel and Sonia (Marhon) Troutman. She graduated from the North Schuylkill High School, class of 1975, and was a homemaker raising two sons. Barb was a member of Christ’s United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland. Preceding her in death was her brother Randy Troutman, passing in 2017.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Barb’s Life funeral service, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 4 PM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Jeremy Smallwood, pastor of the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene, Lavelle. A viewing will begin at 2 PM in the funeral home until service.
