Amanda J. Shaffer Obituary

Amanda J. Shaffer, 34, of Coal Township, passed away Thursday, May 3rd, at the Geisinger Shamokin Community Hospital.  Born in Danville, she is the daughter of Roberta Yeagel Shaffer, Danville, and the late Edward E. Shaffer.  She was a graduate of the Danville High School, class of 2001, later receiving her license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2004.  Amanda was a devoted, cherished, and respected nurse at every point in her career, most notably while working for the Knapper Clinic of Geisinger in Danville.  She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Eugene Shaffer, and her Paternal Grandfather, Paul Edward Shaffer, to both of whom she was very close.
