Ethelmae Michelcavage

Ethelmae Michelcavage, 88, of Buck Run, passed away February 17, 2024, with family by her side, at her residence. Born in Lavelle, March 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alberta Johnson. Ethelmae was a graduate of the former Ashland High School, class of 1952, and a lifelong member of the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene, serving on the church board of directors. She was employed at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville,and at the former Hills Department Store, Cressona. Preceding her in death was her husband, John “Mooney” Michelcavage, a sister, Mabel Weikel, and a brother, Robert Johnson. Survivors, Daughter: Robin Michelcavage, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Daughter: Penny wife of Todd Wertz, Buck Run. Son: John Michelcavage Jr., and his wife Lisa, Buck Run. Sister: Jean Wetzel, Leesport Sister: Dawn Burns and her partner Hank Walton, Delaware Grandchildren: Kaitlin Firth, wife of Andrew, North Carolina, Cameron Wertz, and Brodie Wertz, both of Kutztown, and Gabbie Wertz, Hamburg, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Ethelmae’s Life, Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 4 PM, at the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene, 2879 Fairgrounds Road, Lavelle, Officiating will be Pastor Jeremy Smallwood.
